Srila Shyamananda prabhu was born in Dharenda Bhadura Puram, Utkala (Odisha).

His Father’s name was Shri Krishna Mandala and Mother’s name was Shrimati Shri Durika. They had lost many sons and daughters before his birth, so they named him Dukhi considering such a name would prevent any impending danger
